Privacy Policy
The short version
- No accounts, no cookies, no ad trackers. Visits are measured with anonymous, cookieless analytics.
- We republish race results that Le Mans Ultimate already shows publicly to every player in the game.
- Your browser loads event imagery from the game's own image host - that service sees your IP address. Fonts are served by us.
- Want your name off the site? Email us and we'll remove it.
Who runs this site
LMU Garage is an unofficial fan project run by Lukas Polivka, the data controller, with no affiliation to the makers of Le Mans Ultimate. For questions, requests or complaints: info@lmugarage.com.
Driver data we publish
The site shows competition data about Le Mans Ultimate players - display names, nationality, driver and safety ratings, lap and sector times, results, standings, and team or car entries - synced from the game's own online service. Past boards are kept as a historical archive indefinitely unless you ask for removal. Raw results also carry a Steam account identifier and the game service's internal player id; we use them only to match drivers across events and never show them. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) - reporting the results of public online competitions.
What we collect about visitors
As little as possible: no accounts, no cookies, no fingerprinting. We use PostHog, hosted in the EU, for anonymous, cookieless statistics - pages viewed, rough region, load times. Nothing is stored on your device, so we can't recognise you between visits. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) - understanding how the site is used. Our hosting (Railway, EU region) processes your IP address in short-lived technical logs to serve pages and keep the service secure.
Requests your browser makes to third parties
Two things load from servers we don't operate, so those operators see your IP address and standard request headers: event and track imagery from the game publisher's image host (an Amazon Web Services S3 bucket in the EU), and the analytics script from PostHog's EU servers (PostHog's privacy policy). Fonts come from our own domain.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of personal data we hold, object to or restrict its processing, or receive a copy - email us and we'll respond within a month. To have your name removed, include a link to your driver page or Steam profile so we can confirm it's you; we'll remove your name from public pages and erase the identifiers linking results to you. We can only change this site - your results remain in the game, which we don't control. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
